Old wood whether dead, alive or some semblance of both…
isn’t merely visually interesting.
Though it definitely is.
You know, depending on your interests.
Whichever, wizened wood is a manifest realization of
corporeal truth.
From death, life.
And vice versa, too.
No disrespect meant toward true believers…
But from dust to dust my ass.
Because comes right down to blessed Earth,
there’s a long, long
way to go between beginning & end...
before aphorisms no matter how presumably sacred, ring remotely true.
